I Hit Him With A Piece Of Paving Slab

I was wrong;
I only wanted to visit his sister
there was no malice intended.
But she looked at me horrified,
he bore the brunt
I hit him twice,
the second time
she looked more horrified.
I was trying to impress her
All I did was depress myself.
Her lack of smiling wounded me
more than the piece
of paving slab could ever do,
I walked away gutted.
